Hello there, Recently, I do a lot of pen maintenance mostly on vintage Montblancs. With this I realize the different colorations of some of the Montblanc stars on these pens which range from snow white over somewhat yellow to banana yellow. Here is a picture of a 344, a 252 and a 342 - all in different shades of yellow... These pens are otherwise in excellent condition; however, the discolorations are a bummer. A micro mesh treatment and an intensive polish have not shown any results. Does anyone of you have a suggestion on how to "revive" the original white of the stars? Best Greetings! 4810

Hey all, has anyone ever heard of or seen a mini Lamy? Like a short version of a Safari or Al-Star? Has anyone ever wanted one? I think a pocket length Safari would be pretty sweet! Similar in size and use to a Kaweco. What do YOU think? Tim

Caesin Star Falling Out Of Montblanc 134 Captop. How To Secure It?
provis posted a topic in Repair Q&A
Hi all, I have a lovely Montblanc 134 long captop but the caesin star just won't stay on. Every time the barrel is screwed into the pen, the star pops out in response. As a result of it being this loose, it's prone to leaking. Ordinarily, I'll paint the sides of the star with some shellec or rosin, and leave it dry. But since it's such an old pen, and since I've never dealt with caesin, I'm not sure if using shellac would dissolve the star. Can the wise sages here weigh in on what are the proper steps to take? Thank you!!
