    I've seen soft fine nibs from Pilot and Platinum on FPN But what is the difference,what makes these nibs soft? Does a soft nib has a thinner piece of gold? Is is different in terms of the shape of the nib? Or is the alloy different?

    Being the girl I am, I'd love to get a Platinum demonstrator pen to have a heart shaped breather hole on nib and place a maki-e converter inside. On the Goulet's site, a soft medium nib is available on the Sai limited edition, but the writing sample for the soft medium is similar to the Platinum fine! Can anyone provide a writing sample comparing to Platinum nibs, or Pilot if available? For note-taking and drawing, I prefer a fine over a medium, especially if I have to use cheap paper. Thanks for any info, I would really appreciate it.
