If there are any members here living in Ireland (Republic) who might be interested in setting up a pen sharing scheme, then please let me know. I know a successful one operates in the UK, but given Brexit and customs duties now payable on items going between the two countries, it's practically impossible for a resident of Ireland to belong to the UK one. (I would have to investigate, but we may be able to include Northern Ireland in this as the NI Protocol to the UK's EU Withdrawal agreement may allow for unimpeded cross-border swapping). If you don't know what pen sharing entails, I'm sure there are resources here which can explain - or I'll have a go if you message me.

There are a lot of people asking about whether it's okay or not to use other cartridges for Lamy, but the answers are all about opinions from people who doesn't have experience. I thought it'd be nice if there was a forum dedicated for everyone sharing their experiences (I tried to find one before deciding to make this), good or bad, regarding this. Sharing pics of your handwriting with the pen (w/ the brand -- cartridge) is better

Hey guys. I'm new to fountain pens, and I don't know who else has the problem of people ALWAYS wanting to borrow your pens. This one guy even pretty much took it right out of my hands to write down his number (jerk), and ended up leaving ink splotches all over the paper, he pressed down so hard. Ugh. Do you think this damaged the nib (Lamy Safari EF)? It writes kinda funny now; it just feels different than before, and I think the lines are thicker, which negates the EF nib bit. I might even get a new one, which is a shame because I've only had this one for about three months, even though I've used it loads. Do they typically last longer? Also, my friends are always curious about it, because nobody else really uses them, and want to borrow it. How do you all deal with this? Thanks bunches!
