  1. Found this write-up on Richard's website http://www.richardspens.com/?page=ref/care/inks.htm And can tell you I've experienced firsthand the clogging issues he mentions in my trusty Pilot Custom 823 with several versions of Noodler's ink. I really want to like Noodler's but can ill afford to keep running into issues or, worse, possibly destroy my feed as Richard mentions is possible. I ordered some Waterman and Diamine inks in the hope they'll perform much better. According to several write-ups, these two brands are supposed to be the two better ones in terms of general purpose inks with good flow properties. Anyone else have this occur to them? Any other ink recommendations? Thanks.
  2. Just wanted to let anyone interested in buying Private Reserve inks about a vendor called pensavings on Ebay. I bought a few bottles of PR ink, and was rather shocked when i came to realise that P&P was $4.95, shipping from USA to the UK. I ended up asking the vendor if this was correct, as I realise how heavy ink bottles are, and that shipping cost are bound to be more. He explained that this was in fact the case, and that he just about broke even with fountain pen inks, but helped with other areas of the business. I subsequently ordered a few more, larger 110ml bottles, which the vendor ordered and has sent with the same remarkable postage rate. All transactions were smooth, and had great communication throughout. I've asked if he is likely to stock Noodler's any time soon, and he said he was talking to the distributer with a view to doing this at some point in the near future. Until then, any one looking for PR inks, check his ebay store out!
  3. Recently started using a bottle of Private reserve ebony blue, that I've had for around six years or so. I'm really enjoying it actually, and really love the sheen it has. Works really well on the natural ivory colour of Tomoe river white paper which I normally use. I'm looking into buying more PR inks soon, and just wondered which others have that very saturated appearance, and also produce a sheen. Many thanks Sach
  4. How do Private Reserve American Blue (Fast Dry) and Electric DC Blue compare? They seem very similar, but would either of them be better (even slightly) for schoolwork? I have tried samples of both, and i'm having trouble deciding which one to buy a bottle of.
