  1. Hi all, I am starting this thread today - 2024-10-12 - because the 2024 London Autumn Pen Show is tomorrow - 2024-10-13. My intent in starting the thread is to create a place for members who go to the show to discuss it, and/or show off what they bought there, or to discuss any pens they may have given to restorers/repairers at the London Autumn Show (and what work those pens need). I won't be there - I am currently 'enjoying' a respiratory infection - but, if you are attending, I hope that you have a fantastic time ☺️ Slàinte, M.
  2. Who is headed to the Dallas Pen show this weekend? It's going to be a great time and the weather looks nice for the weekend. I'll be there at "The Write Pen" table selling pens for Danny Fudge and myself and Danny will be set up to refurbish vintage pens. Drop by and say hi!
  3. The Philly Pen Show is only five weeks away and I'm thinking of going. Have attended once before. A novice, but am due to enjoy the buzz of show. —Are you attending the show? 4. Hi everyone! I'll be going to the Melbourne Pen Show in a few days time, and as it will be my first pen show, I'm reaching out to the community for some tips and advice. Can I bring my own pens? Are we allowed to negotiate prices with certain stallholders? How should I store my purchases? I'll put it out to you if you have anymore suggestions.

  10. We're just about three months out from the start of the 2nd Annual St. Louis Pen Show! As large as our inaugural show was last year (1400 visitors, 95 vendors, 150 tables), this year's show is shaping up to be even bigger affair (judging by the size of the vendor waiting list and the number of companies that want to sponsor/promote). Westport Plaza is a fantastic location, as there is plenty of parking (including a garage), several restaurants within 5 minutes walk, and a free shuttle to/from the airport. Pen Show Advice

HI! I've been a "lurker" on this sight for a while now and haven't really chosen to post anything, so this is my first time. Sorry if this is in the wrong place, still getting the hang of things. I'm a young fountain pen enthusiast who's been in the hobby for a while now. I've amassed a decent collection of pens, Lamy, Pilot, Conklin, Cross, etc. as well as an assortment of inks and notebooks. I also run a pen review blog in my spare time. Recently, I found out there is a pen show in my area, the Atlanta Pen Show, and am planning to attend. I was curious as to what the policy is for younger attendees, and if this is well looked upon in the fountain pen community. I am also curious if there is anything I should bring to the show, such as pens, a bag, or a notepad. I'd love to hear your feedback! Thanks, Ben ,

  24. Hi all! Here's a Mabie Todd I found on the parts table at the Chicago Pen Show. Nib: MT&CO, 14ct, No2 Barrel: GOLDEN MONTANA Nothing on the clip and the nib is nice and flexy. I've got some other ones, so I'll stop lurking and post them soon as well.
  25. What sort of things do you take with you to a pen show, aside from $$ that is? I'd like to get some well-honed ideas for my first venture to a show since wading into this hobby. I'm figuring on a loupe or two and some different papers for testing pens and inks, and perhaps a pouch for holding pens I might buy, but after that I'm wondering what's worth lugging around. Should I take a few pens to do comparisons between what I have and what I might want? A rule or a caliper to measure pens? Thanks, Marc
