  1. I started this topic to show you some pics of the new Heritage 1912 resin fountainpen and give you my first impressions of the performance. It is based on the Simplo Safety Filller from 1912. MB calls it the legacy. The pen I just got is inspired by legacy. First impression is that it is a very small pen when capped, but when uncapped and the nib is in working order it is not that small. I also made some comparison photo's together with the WE Christie. The nib is 14K and also a really small nib, but don't be fooled by the size. The performance is really great. I have several FP's with B nib, but this one really glides across the paper and gives a very fluent line. No matter if the stroke is down, side or diagonal it Always gives a good line without hesitation. The promotional booklet calls the writing caracteristic: soft/elastic. In the cap MB invented a way to prevent that the nib will be retracted. The sort of needle blocks the nib at the point of the feeder. I promised myself and my wife not to buy anymore pens this year except this year's Writers Edition, but when I noticed this pen will be suited with a MOP star and the special technique I was really in doubt. (I am such a loser I know ) For now a last picture of a writingsample and I want to say my special thanks to Appelboom (no affiliation only a very happy customer) for getting the pen that quick. MB started to deliver this midweek and after receiving the pen he brought it personally to me. If more pics needed I will be glad to make some and post it here. Thanks for watching and comments are welcome! FOLLOW UP: On request hereby some comparison with a 149 BB-nib: Pistonknob pull back: (Edited to add more pics on request.)
