Hello. I'm thinking of buying a Montblanc Mozart, and I found one for about 190$. Is this a goodprice for a presumably new pen, the regular edition with gold trims. I'm asking this because I found them on ebay at sold auction listings as low as 130$. Is this the usual price this pen goes for? Is it possible that a listing on ebay ends and the seller decides to relist it because it didn't meet his price expectations, so is the old listing still shown in the sold section with that low price? Because I feel like 130-140$ for this pen is a little low. Thats the price of a pelikan m200 and it doesn't even have a gold nib.

My husband has purchased a Montblanc Mozart in Bordeaux for me as a birthday gift. (YAY!) I know in advance because he picked it out and then had me approve, since he doesn't know a lot about fountain pens. He sure made a good call on this one! This is my first experience with a Montblanc, and I'm quite excited. I won't get to write with it until September, but I want to be prepared with the right ink cartridges. I assume that I could just go with Montblanc cartridges, but I'd like to know the right size so I can use other brands as well. The posts I've seen on this topic have been a bit contradictory - some say standard international, and some say short international. Can a Mozart owner/user chime in to confirm which is the right size? I have heard mixed reviews on using converters for this pen, so for the time being at least I am going to use cartridges. Caroline

I was gifted this Mozart 15720 pen for Christmas. The person who gifted it to me had gotten it from a high end raffle. As such, the pen is nicely nestled in it's box and has the general instruction manual but nothing else. What I need to know is if there is a special cartridge I need to purchase since this is such a small pen. I see that on the Montblanc site they have two types of cartridges (regular and Meisterstuck.) but I can't see any physical difference between them in the pictures. I just want to be certain I'm purchasing a cartridge that will fit my pen.

Ink Review : Diamine Mozart (Music Collection) Pen: Lamy Al-Star, M-nib Paper : Rhodia N°16 notepad 80 gsm Review Vienna countryside, summer of 1788 A hot late-summer afternoon just after a refreshing shower. Farmers in the red-brown freshly plowed fields. A friendly wrestling match between two young men trying to impress their lovers. Yey ! Mudfight. How hilarious ! This setting inspires my muse. I've got a splendid idea for a comical opera buffa with lovers as a theme - I think I will call it "Cosi Fan Tutte." In 2015 Diamine released the Music Collection, a set of ten inks named after well-known composers. This is a collection with serious, subdued colors. In this review, we take a look at Mozart - after the above discussion, you're sure to remember that this is a red-brown ink. Diamine Mozart is a nice red-brown ink, almost pinkish red-brown as shown in the chromatography. This ink writes well, with good flow, and exhibits some nice shading. Looks real good in broader nibs where the shading is more pronounced, and where the red-brown color shows its best. In finer nibs though, I find that the ink looks rather bland and uninspiring. Because of my small handwriting I typically use the finer nibs, so this Mozart is not really my thing. OK - but how does it behave on paper ? For this, I did some tests: Rhodia N°16 notepad 80 gsm - drying time 20-25 seconds, no feathering, no show-through and no bleed-through. Nice-looking on this white paperPaperblanks journal paper - drying time 10-15 seconds, no feathering, some minor show-through, no bleed-through. Looks more reddish on this more yellowish paperGeneric notepad paper 70 gsm - drying time 10-15 seconds, no feathering, no show-through nor bleed-throughMoleskine journal - drying time ~5 seconds, no feathering, significant show-through and bleed-through. Looks more reddish on this off-white paperMozart is a well-behaving ink on a wide variety of paper. Personally I like it best on pure white paper. On off-white, more yellowish paper, it looks really red. Too red for my taste. The ink is smudge resistant, but totally not water-resistant. Short exposure to water leaves a reddish residue that remains more or less readable. After a longer soak, the text is gone and only red-brown mudstains remain. Conclusion Diamine Mozart is a well-behaving ink with good flow, that tolerates a wide variety of paper. Even Moleskine journals are OK if you use only one side of the pages. A shame about the complete lack of water-resistance though. The color - as always - is a personal thing. Myself, I'm not a fan of this Mozart. It's a bit too red for my tastes. But if you like red-brown inks, this Mozart might just be your thing. my overall score : B

Hello everyone, this is my first post and I ask for your help regarding this MB 116. The seller states its a "Montblanc Mini" looks to me like a 116, has a serial number but no papers or box. Also, it includes a leather pouch as shown in the pictures. I have been looking for images of this pouch but only found some on ebay. The pen looks fine to me but there is something about the clip that I don´t like... looks hollow... but it might be the light. The pictures are not the best ones but I hope they help. Thanks for your help, Peter

I'm currently reviewing some of my favourite Diamine inks. This is Mozart from the Diamine Music Gift set. I didn't think I would ever be able to afford to buy the Diamine Music Gift Set, so I was really pleased to find that Diamine now sell all of their Gift set inks in 30ml plastic refill bottles. To be honest, the glass bottles in the set are much nicer, but as the ink is exactly that same, it means that at least I can try some of them. Bearing in mind the paper I use is very smooth, this ink dries in 10-12 seconds. It flows quite wet compared with some Diamine inks, but lubricates the nib quite well.No start-up problems noticed. No skipping noticed. It is currently available as one of the gift set of 10 x 30ml glass bottles, or in single 30ml plastic refill bottles from Diamine. Neither of these has an inkwellWater test on the review form shows this isn't a waterproof ink.Diamine sell it directly to end-users on their web-site.It's reasonably priced.
