Any information about the new Lamy Ideos? Is a new design?
-
Looking in some email stores for a new Lamy pen I found three models that look quite similar in the computer screen The Logo ,Pur and Cp1. The prices are also similar but not the same. All of them use the same nib and have a aluminium metal colour. Maybe one of the Lamy experts here knows the differences.Thanks.

Hi everyone. I'm buying a Lamy 2000 from a perosn on FPN at a wonderful price. The pen sports a fine nib. I am too excited for this purchase as its only my second gold nib. Is there anything I need to know about this pen beforehand? The seller did tell me there is no sweet spot issue on the nib and based on writing samples, the fine looks really similar, if not slightly wider than the Platinum 3776 Century medium nib. I do own that pen with the same nib so the width ain't a problem. Anything else I should know like servicing, replacement parts, greasing the pen etc.? Thanks and Regards, Adit

News that everyone should be aware of... I was informed by my Lamy USA Rep that Germany intends to discontinue stainless (LZ50) EF Nibs for Studio, Safari, and Al-Star Pens.. This means that once the stock from the vendor (and dealers) is over, these nibs will no longer be available. This is unfortunate, as this seemed to be a very popular size. I checked with rep, and the loose nibs will also no longer be available once supply is depleted. So, if you like EF nibs- check with your dealer regarding stock. You can buy them seperately, or with pens till everyone sells out! Link Here- http://www.federalistpensonline.com/May-Update_b_26.html -DC Show, New Products, Montegrappa/Aurora Video, Susan Wirth Tribute What a month it has been! It has been quite a month since my last newsletter. I try to get these out as early as possible in the month, but school work and life can get in the way ! In this issue- News of new products, New brands for Federalist Pens, A new DC Show location, And the loss of a dear Pen Friend.... It is with sorrow that I inform you of the death of Susan Wirth. Susan was a BIG personality at pen shows for years (30+ that I am aware). Found in the back wall of the room with her signs, pens, helpers, and HER to help people pick the best pen for them- and write better! Her presence will be sorely missed at future pen shows. A memorial is planned for the upcoming DC Show in August. A link to the Legacy.com Obit: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/name/Susan-Wirth-obituary?pid=1000000185384131
