Hello everyone, Just wondered, looking at the LAMY 27/32 and the LAMY_18_special, what are the differences if you give these two only a short look. They look very similar. The design is similar, and I believe they were produced at the same time - the "special" model inspired by its bigger sibling. One is a piston filler, one takes cartridges. If you take them into your hands, LAMY_18_special is smaller and slimmer, but the shape is identical. For more pictures, please visit my FLICKR account. Kind regards, Jan My FLICKR account. Dear all, This is probably the best known and most common LAMY 27 - model “e”. I had it polished and took a couple of pictures of it. Dear all, Some time ago, I got back couple of my LAMY 27 pens - polished / restored. It always takes me long time before I take pictures, but ... here is the new addition to my collection: LAMY_27m_rot_/_B This is probably the older version (m) of the 27 model, as you can see - it has a “blind cap” which you must unscrew to fill the pen with ink. All pictures, if you are interested: https://www.flickr.com/photos/lamy_fp/sets/ or: LAMY 27m; rot / B https://www.flickr.com/photos/lamy_fp/sets/72157677685482633 Kind regards, Jan My FLICKR account. Dear all, After a short “detour” to the world of other FPs brands and a pencil, I am back on track with a fountain pen again. Hello all, I wish I had the talent in taking pictures as good as some of the other users here. Sometimes, I take pictures of a pen, and choosing the “right” ones plus “adjusting” those takes me half a day. Then I come here; see some pictures which are amazing, delete mine and start over again - with the same result at the end ... Anyway, LAMY 27/32 is one of my favourite LAMY pens. It somehow looks ordinary, but I love it and feel amazed about the number of pieces it consists of. What do you think? I have been looking at the "old" Lamy 27 and wondering what colours they come in? I would be interested in knowing the colour variations available are, being:- Same colour cap and barrel. Barrel with different coloured cap (probably gold of silver coloured metal). If you know how to, then photographs would be interesting and nice to see. I was told that there were many colours but I have not seen too many on my travels, both on the internet and real life

I just managed to win a somewhat NOS Lamy 27m off eBay last week. I couldn't wait till it got home, and now here it is. Its practically new, except for some tiny scratches on the body and cap and to be honest I think I'm in love . T he first thing I did was ink it up with my favourite ink, J Herbin Eclat De Saphir, however the pen didn't play so well with the ink and it started to blot on my Leuchtturm1917 notebook, I've noticed this happening with my vintage Mont Blanc 644 as well. Out goes the ink and I fill up with Pelikan Edelstein Tanzanite which works very very well with my Mont Blanc however this blotted as well, and eventually I topped up with the Lamy blue ink, and this works very well. The pen is reasonably smooth with a little feedback. Overall I'm very very pleased with the pen
