    Choosing A Nib For M205

    amk posted a topic in Pelikan

    I have an M205 for which I want to choose a new nib, and I'm dithering a bit between a regular steel BB, and a calligraphy 2mm. I'm also wondering whether to stump up the extra for a gold nib, though that rules out the calligraphy option and probably means I can only get broad, not double broad. I'd like to get more experienced Pelikan users' perspectives on this. FWIW I have tried the cognac with a factory calligraphy 1.5mm and been quite impressed, more so than by most of the Pelikan steel 'regular' nibs. And if I get a BB I'll at some point probably be wanting to make it a cursive italic, would it give me a good chance to do so?

    Was this nib a special, or will it continue as a stand offering from Pelikan? I'm hearing conflicting news on this?
