I had a wee bit of unexpected cash, and decided to treat myself to a pen I've wanted for ages....the Delta Israel 60. It also felt apt as I was 69 in May I'm looking for the perfect matching shade of blue, from a reasonably available in UK brand. Any suggestions? Alex

Has Anyone Noticed Almost All Judaism/israel-Related Pens Seem To Be Italian?
Shavely Manden posted a topic in Italy - Europe
Since I'm converting to Judaism (and like Judaism-inspired designs), I was looking into Judaism-related fountain pens, and I was struck by a curious trend: almost all the pens I could find related to Judaism or Israel are made by Italian companies. And it's not just one company or anything...a lot of major Italian brands seem to have made one at some point. For example: Delta Israel 60th anniversaryMontegrappa Fortuna ShemaOmas Israel 50th JubileeStipula Israel 65th anniversaryUrso MezuzahVisconti Twelve Tribes of IsraelVisconti Jewish BibleBy contrast, the only non-Italian Judaica pens I've found are the Bexley Israel 50th anniversary and the Curtis Australia State of Israel 60th anniversary. It's kind of an odd trend...I can understand Japanese companies not being interested in making Jewish pens, but you'd think that the US or Germany would make more. Is there some cultural or economic connection between Italy and Israel that would encourage this sort of design from Italian makers, or is this just a strange coincidence? -
Hello from Israel. I'm an American living and working with my family in Israel. I teach English and Bible at a local Arab Christian High School and am new to the FP world. Right now I'm using a Metropolitan Fine and Safari Fine every day in a Leuchtturm A5 squared notebook. My kids are I love writing with FPs and are exploring the best options for writing in Arabic and Hebrew. Looking forward to learning from experience here on FPN.

Pencil, Either Israel And/or Jerusalem Olive Wood
Alexcat posted a topic in It Writes, But It Is Not A Fountain Pen ....
One of the 'specials' I collect are fountain pens with an Israel connection.....a Delta, a Montegrappa and a couple of others( though nothing of the Visconti, much as ?I'd love one, but it's just too expensive) I would love a Montegrappa, to match the pen, but there doesn't seem to be such a thing. I wondered if anyone knew of a similar special edition Israel pencil, or a Jerusalem olive wood one? Alex -
Help In Identifying Silver Ballpoint, With Rolex Refill
Alexcat posted a topic in It Writes, But It Is Not A Fountain Pen ....
I got this( see pics below) and am trying to find out a little more about it. As shown in the pics, there is a slight crack/lifting of the silver surface: beside that, it says 'MADE IN JERUSALEM' Around the top, just below the clicker( which is not working perfectly, but is usable....a missing top, I think....) it says "STERLING SILVER" and just below that, TRIBES OF ISRAEL It's a really beautiful thing....covered in intricate decoration, Hebrew letters and symbols. The refill says 100 Rolex soft fine (and then a word in Hebrew lettering, which I can't reproduce here) Basically, Im trying to get any information about it, and also if/where a refill can be bought( in the UK) Alex
