Hello! I live in India and I am looking to buy the Pilot custom 74. Is there a good website where I can buy Pilot pens and Inks for a reasonable price? Amazon sells some of them, but I was wondering if there is better, more direct way of buying them?

Great Prices On Some Sailors & Pilots And Iroshizuku At J-Subculture
miatagrrl posted a topic in Japan - Asia
(I'm not sure if this is the right place for this topic, so you can let me know if I should post elsewhere.) I haven't seen mention of J-Subculture here as a shopping site for fountain pens, so I thought I would. I have gotten all my Pilot Iroshizuku inks there because of the great prices (less than US $10 - $13 for most colors), but whenever I've searched for fountain pens, only really low-end ones came up. Just today I went to the site again, and this time I found quite a few mid-range and even a couple of high-end Sailors and Pilots. A couple things I've learned: Approximate shipping prices are listed alongside the item. However, that price is for if you were to order just that one item. But if you fill up your shopping cart with several items and then click "checkout," the next page will give you various shipping options, and you'll see that the total shipping price is much less than if you were to add up the approximate shipping fees for the individual items in your cart. If you go one step further and fill in your address, the shipping fee might actually go down (it always does for me; probably depends on where you live). I just ordered 2 pens and a couple of very inexpensive, lightweight waterbrushes, and the cost for expedited shipping to Seattle was $12. They had two other slower options that would have been $5 and $8. One other thing I should mention is that the search function is really sucky (not unlike Engeika and other Japanese shopping sites!). Make your search as inspecific as possible (such as "Sailor," not "Sailor Profit" or "Sailor 1911") to find the most items that you might actually be looking for. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately, depending on your perspective!), when you put in "Sailor," you will also get a bunch of girls wearing sailor cosplay outfits, but if you put in "Sailor fountain pen," some pens will get missed. Anyway, their stock of fountain pens isn't huge, so even if you have to go through the entire inventory, it's not too bad, and you're more likely not to miss what you're looking for. I've ordered from them several times and have had no problems at all.- 111 replies

Is It My Omas Or The Ink I Am Using?
fountainpenlady posted a topic in Fountain & Dip Pens - First Stop
What is the problem when you have extensive nib dribble. I don't mean nib crawl where there is a touch of ink on the nib and you wipe it off. I also do not mean when you fill the fountain pen, I mean while using it; I mean after you have put it back in pen case and you remove it again to write; there is visible ink on the nib. I mean the tip of the nib is covered in the ink you are using. I am having this problem with my new Omas Ogiva Alba. I am including one picture to demonstrate. This picture is actually light nib dribble compared to some instances. Should I simply not use this ink in this pen? Wiping it simply smears it more and makes it worse. This same problem was previously posted regarding this ink doing similar when loaded in my Pelikan pens. Should I simply abandon this ink with my pens? I love the pen, love the ink, they just don't seem to like each other. Help!- 8 replies

I know those who love Pilot Iroshizuku bottled ink may not have this experience or it is so minor they don't care, but has anyone had nib crawl with this ink? I had Momiji, although I liked the color, I found on my Pelikan nibs, there was a lot of visible ink which remain, even after I wiped the nib clean of excess. The ink visible made nib the color of ink being used. Sadly, my an awful mistake, I threw away almost the entire bottle of Momiji in getting ready to move. I am sort of heartbroken and not yet sure whether I am going to replace that particular hue. Recently, the same day I received my Pelikan M600, returned from a nibmeister, I also received a bottle of Tsutsuji. I think I may like the color a tad more than Momiji. Yet, once again, there is nib crawl. The ink, no matter how much I clean the nib, still appears. This may simply be the reaction of the ink to being in a Pelikan. I have not attempted to fill up a cartridge and with syringe fill this ink in one of my Lamys to see what happens. Just curious, has anyone who likes or loves this ink found it to be visible a lot on the nib after filling your pen? Does this bother you?
