    Hi, I recently got a Pelikan 200 Cafe Creme and this is my first nib where I think its gold plated steel. (Or maybe its gold filled?) I really like the nib, though I was wondering whether gold plating makes any difference vs a regular steel nib? I'm guessing its just for looks, but who knows maybe there's some metallurgy going on. I have some a number of "regular" 14k gold nibs, and have used steel, but not gold plated steel. Thanks!

    Hello there, I'm experiencing something I didn't expect: the sides of my Ero's gold-plated steel nib's tines are slowly turning browner (it's really hard to catpure with a camera). It has begun, I don't know, maybe a month ago, by a very little stain, which is much bigger now than then. The surface remains perfectly smooth. Anybody knows what is happening?
