I enjoy discovering new things and hubting for hidden treasures. That's why I'm always eager to try new ink brands. Glare is an indian fountain pen and ink manufacturer. They offer a line of fifteen inks sold in plastic 60 ml bottles. As indian post office makes sending inks difficult it's not that east to try them outside India. Glare inks on the other hand can be easily ordered through ebay. Mine bottle was sent in styrofoam and described as "rubber part" I used this ink for some time and I'm ready to share plenty of scans and my thoughts on it. Packaging Ink comes in cardboard box. The label is mainly black and red and rather nice. What I find interesting is the fact that there's MSRP of the ink printed on the box (275 rupees). I haven't seen it on other inks. The bottle is made of plastic and is quite functional. Color of the lid doesn't harmonize with the color of the ink. What's pretty cool and definitely useful is the use of plastic Inner cap to stop leakage and spills. Similarly to Stipula inner lid it's quite hard to open it without getting ink on your fingers. All in all I think the packaging is rather functional but somewhat aesthetically challenged. Ink Havana Brown is in the color range that's quite pleasant to my eyes. The flow is very good and consistent. I'm usually interested to see if the ink starts after I leave the pen uncapped for a while and Havana Brown starts even after two minutes (a try made with Lamy Safari). It didn't cause any feathering or bleedthrough even on cheap copy paper. That's good. It doesn't offer any useful water resistance but, on the other hand, if you accidentally spill water on the text it shouldn't blur instantly. The thing that could be much better is lubrication - it's nowhere near Sailor inks. On most papers and in wet pens you won't feel a discomfort however on bad quality or "harsh" paper you may feel too much feedback. Additionally this ink is rather subdued and subtle, the saturation is medium, especially if youe every day choice is dryish fine nib. In wider nibs the inks has enough saturation to make you reread notes comfortably in both ambient and sun light. While the hue isn't exactly thrilling I like it. I'm strongly into purples and violets recently. What I enjoy most about these inks is flawless behavior. The flow is very good and consistent. I'm usually interested to see if the ink starts after I leave the pen uncapped for a while and Mauve, exactly as Olive Brown reviewed some time ago, starts even after two minutes (a try made with Lamy Safari). It didn't cause any feathering or bleedthrough even on cheap copy paper. The saturation is good but not super strong. The ink is easy on the eyes and, what's quite pleasant, easy to clean from the pen. The same can't be said about many purples. It has been a very long time since my friend has actually posted any review on his channel. I would like to share with you the new review that he has just posted of a very premium "Indian fountain pen" called the Glare 71. Here's the video review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2gGDiLlv4dc As he himself is unable to access his FPN account, he has asked me to post it on his behalf. Anyways, talking about the pen, Glare 71 is an extremely premium fountain pen in every aspect. It is a head turner that has got premium looks, exceptional build, feels amazing in the hands and writes exceedingly well. For more information about the pen, do watch the video. I hope you like it.

I like most of the inks that are somewhere between brown and green or yellow. The hue of this one is very nice but it needs wet pen to make you appreciate it. The flow is very good and consistent. I'm usually interested to see if the ink starts after I leave the pen uncapped for a while and Olive Brown starts even after two minutes (a try made with Lamy Safari). I will be interested in trying other colors in the future. What Does Daytone/glare Dark Grey Look Like?
antichresis posted a topic in India & Subcontinent (Asia)
Hi guys, I need help again with something I am planning to buy. The sparse mentions of Daytone "Dark Grey" online describe it as a blue-black but with no image to add context. The closest I have found that show the ink are this and this. Is there some green in it? But then the listing for Glare ink (supposedly the exact same ink) doesn't show any green and is almost indistinguishable with "Blue-Black". I have attached the swab sample from the Amazon.in listing of Daytone below but anyone who has relied on the Noodler's and Private Reserve manufacturer-supplied swabs would know to ask for confirmation/a second opinion first. -
Glare T7 (Fine Nib) Fountain Pen Review + Writing Sample
t2mr posted a topic in Fountain Pen Reviews
First of all, i would like to thank SnehSab for posting all my other "pen reviews" on my behalf. I have been very occupied with my work, and i am glad he did that for me. I really appreciate it And now, i would like to share with you the new review that i have just posted. Its of an amazing "Indian fountain pen" named the Glare T7. Here's the video review: Now, this pen is indeed the costliest Lamy Safari's lookalikes, but still for that price, it amazing value for money. Everything about this pen is amazing - its extremely solid build, premium transparent resin body, great looks, the way it sits in the hands and finally - the way it writes. Its an extremely good "Fine Nib" that lays down a SUPER SMOOTH, WET and DARK line. So, i think for $15, it's a great pen and I highly recommend it. P.S. The link of the pen is in the description box. Also, please do like the video if you find it useful- 24 replies
