Colorverse Methuselah Grove This bundle belongs to the Earth Edition. Methuselah Grove and her big sister Methuselah tree, celebrate the oldest living beings on the planet. I got this 5ml bottle on a whim. It's a dark brown, with gorgeous chroma, short dry times on Rhodia and curiously eternal long dry on many Japanese papers (Midori/ Life/Iroful, slightly better on Tomoe River 68gsm. It has impractical/ cute bottles : You can either buy a 15 ml bottle with a 65 ml bottle of Methuselah tree, or a 5 ml separate bottle, with an impossibly narrow opening that’ll need a syringe/ ink miser to fill your pen. Cleaning was pain, I'm not looking forward to my other pens Bottle compared to a 10 ml Herbin bottle, on my messy desk Ink also stains fingers and is slightly difficult to clean from pens. Chroma: Writing Samples: On the Rhodia sample the 1.1 / B nib lines are reversed. If you see smudge, it’s because it took a long dry time to dry. Photo:(Artificial light) Iroful Comparison: Water test: Left side 10 seconds under running water, after minimum 24 hours to dry. Note how the chroma separates Art Work: A New Year Manga style sketch. Kala Nostalgia Gemstone Scapolite (Grey green) Kala Nostalgia Gemstone Sillimanite (Background) Colorverse Methuselah grove (Brown) I tried watching Lion King, Pride of the Simba. The only merit of the film was trying to draw a lion cub. Paper is a very bad Hilroy sketching paper. Hickory Dickory Dock (Tick Tock) Inktober yearlong challenge 2025 with my Cat & mouse theme with fountain pen ink on Talens Notebook. Colorverse Methuselah's Grove De Atramentis Document Cyan. Noodler's Lexington Gray · Pens used: Pilot Kakuno Ef, Lamy (EF/F/M/B/ Stub 1.1), Kanwrite with a Ahabbnib. · What I liked: Colour, drawing, bottle · What I did not like: Eternal dry times on Japanese paper, bottle size, spelling the name · What some might not like: Long dry times, small bottle size (5ml), or bundle. · Shading: I didn’t see any. · Ghosting: Yes, a bit on cheap paper. · Bleed through: Yes, sporadically on cheap paper. · Flow Rate: Wet · Lubrication: Excellent. · Nib Dry-out: Did not notice. · Start-up: I left aside for a week both pens, I needed to prime the feed. · Saturation: Saturated brown. · Shading Potential: Dismal. · Sheen: No. · Spread / Feathering / Woolly Line: Did not notice. · Nib Creep / “Crud”: Did not notice. · Staining (pen): No. · Clogging: Did not notice. · Cleaning: Not so easy. · Water resistance: Decent. · Availability: 5 ml bottles, or a 15 ml bottles bundled with a 65 ml bottle of Colorverse 57 Methuselah Tree Please don't hesitate to share your experience, writing samples or any other comments.
