I finally bought a Lamy 2000 medium. I was never that huge fan of the Lamy Safari, but recently I found that a Safari with a medium nib, instead of a fine nib writes nicely. I got a good deal on a Lamy 2000 and took the plunge and now I get what all the fuss is about. The nib writes beautifully....
