  1. I recently saw for sale some Esterbrook "J" family mechanical pencils. The model names were given as "PJ" for one and "TJ" for another. The plastic appears like the pretty "J" fountain pens. I am aware that they take different lead sizes. My question: do the barrels of these pencils have the same diameter/thickness? Do they match the diameter/thickness of the "J" fountain pen, or of the "SJ"/"LJ" pens, or are they some other size(s)? If there's a reference for Esterbrook J-family dimensions, kindly point me at it. Thanks.
  2. Hi to all! I am writing on a new chapter about fountain pens. The particular topic is about the technical side of the ink reservoir. For most styles I have found all the information I need but not for the piston and bladder converter. The dimensions I would need are their volumes, the height/length to which they fill up and the mechanical length of the volume, which would be a smidgen longer. Sure, I could buy one each. However, so far, I have always received your help, otherwise, adding it all up, it would have been quite costly.

    Visconti Ink Bottle(S) Dimensions

Hi, I purchased an antique inkwell in the shape of a knight's helmet (with neck). It has no liner but a 'martini glass' shaped Visconti ink bottle may fit perfectly. Would someone be so kind as to measure their Visconti bottle(s) for me and post up the dimensions please? I know they have a variety of versions in glass and plastic. I'm seeking the base diameter, height to first curve outward, height to maximum curve outward, total height including lid, and maximum diameter of the bottle towards the top. It would be helpful if a pic were able to be posted to show me which edition of the bottle has been measured. Thank you.
