Another of my "help me choose" thingies. This one was for KWZ Pine Green. As with all KWZ inks, it's smooth to write with, but eventually I decided against it because Verdura covers much of the same color. Granted: KWZ shades to a deeper, blacker green where it pools, while Verdura stays lighter and offers what I've seen described as a "halo effect", like many Herbins do, Lierre Sauvage included. Sherwood Green, while distinctly different in hue, does a similar shading job to Pine Green and as an added bonus sheens a little red in the thicker deposits, but in writing it is hardly noticeable and then only on Tomoe River. Keep in mind these comparisons are done with dip nibs: everything is darker than you would get with a properly loaded fountain pen, prolly something closer to what you see here on the lines where the nib starts to go dry.
