So I was given this pen to put a new sac and pressure bar in. Just trying to figure out a bit of info to pass to the owner. Anyone have any idea which model this is? Sheaffer white dot, lever, well the pictures will give you more info.. It's, so far a nice looking desk pen and will look good on her desk. Thanks in advance

Hello, I have a Sheaffer Touchdown, no dot, steel F1 nib. I resaced, changed out the gasket, used the ultra sonic cleaner multiple times to clean the nib unit. I have gotten it to the point it draws ink into the Sac and writes for a time but then dries up. My question is, can I take the nib unit apart even further to clean it better. It looks like it might be 3 pieces but I don't want to damage it if it doesn't, isn't made to come apart any further. If it does come apart is it pretty much a knockout block or does it somehow screw apart? Pictures attached

Generally I hear that fountain pens shouldn't be stored nib down, which makes sense, as it could cause ink to drip out of the front. But then I realised that desk fountain pens are meant to be stored like this, and you don't really hear about those leaking, and they shouldn't, but why don't they? do they have some sort of internal design that makes them retain ink better, or is it the fact that most of them have hooded nibs, or is it an overreaction and are fountain pens normally fine when stored that way in general? TLDR, desk pens are stored nib down, why don't they leak

So I've come across the Parker Desk pen and I cannot identify it. At first I thought it was a Duofold, but I couldn't find it written any where. The nib threw me off because I found "VACUMATIC" inscribed on the nib. Does anyone know what this pen is, it's driving me crazy! Pictures

Hello everyone, I had asked this question on the Italy forum, but did not get any reply, so hopefully someone will be able to help here. I just bout this three (NoS) Omas Deskpens (Two 556T and one 583T), the pistons are extremely stiff and not moving. I need help on how to disassemble the pistons to grease them. Thank you in advance. Best regards, Northstar

Hello all, I just received this beautiful Waterman from ebay. Its nib os engraved with "Emblem"; thus I guess its model might be "Emblem" but I am wondering Emblem is also produced as a desk pen version. I never owned Waterman Emblem before but its nib looks quite similar to my other Hundred Years pen and 515. Thanks! Minji

Anyone Know How To Get This Repaired?
Conan the Grammarian posted a topic in Fountain & Dip Pens - First Stop
Anyone have any suggestions about getting an old plunger filled desk pen repaired. I inherited it and want to see if I can get it working again. I'm in Charlotte, NC and don't know of any good pen repair shops here.
