I bought a Pilot custom heritage 90 fine nib. I think the pen is very well balanced on hand but I was disappointed with the nib performance. The down-strokes and right-strokes are ok, but the ink flow is very poor for up-strokes and right-strokes. Is there any way to fix this?

How Does The Pilot Ch92 Nib Compare To The Metropolitan Nib, Size-Wise?
Shavely Manden posted a topic in Japan - Asia
I've got my heart set on a Pilot Custom Heritage 92 as my next pen. It'll be my first gold nib, and my first pen nicer than my TWSBI. The one thing holding me back is figuring out which size nib I want -- wavering between an M and an FM. The only Japanese nibs I have to go by are Pilot Metropolitans...I have a medium and my gf has a fine. I definitely think the metropolitan fine is too fine, but I can't decide if the medium is OK or if something finer (i.e., FM) would suit me better. My question: are the CH92 fine & medium comparable to the Metropolitan fine & medium in terms of fineness? I'd hate to end making a decision based on bad assumptions. -
CH91 with SF, swapping nibs with a CH92 with M. Figured it out - a counterclockwise twist on the nib+feed with a firm grip did the trick. Now I've got a flexy nib on the clear 92! The feed on the 92 seems to perform better as well, so this ended up being a win-win. http://i.imgur.com/2Ote6km.jpg http://i.imgur.com/bBC4JKO.jpg

Hi, I have some questions about the smoothness and fineness of nibs between Pilot Vanishing Point and Pilot Custom Heritage 92/Custom 74. I have Pilot Decimo with a fine nib and I like the smoothness and fineness of this nib, but it is little heavy for long writing. While I was searching for a smooth, lightweight, and fine fountain pen for long writing, someone has recommended me Pilot Custom Heritage 92. I see it has pretty good reputation in this forum. Thus, I would like to know more about the nibs of this pen. As I said, I like the fineness and smoothness of my Decimo fine nib. How is Pilot Custom Heritage 92 nib like comparing to Decimo nib? I see they have F, FM, M, and B nibs. I wonder if I should get F nib or FM nib for Pilot Custom Heritage 92. Also, is there any place to purchase Pilot #5 nib separately? I am asking this in case that I may not like the nib I order, and I am also interested in trying SF nib. Thanks,
