So this is my pen, a woodcraft pen kit I bought from an acquaintance in the US a couple of years back. Only, due to lack of knowledge and inadequate cleaning on my part the feeder assembly has become clogged up. I've had it soaking in ammonia for four days now, and even forced a fair amount of liquid through it using the ink cartridge but the main channel in the feed is still blocked. It hasn't discoloured the ammonia solution in two days and since yesterday it's been blotting out clear whenever I shake it. But still, the ink won't feed on its own, and when I advance the cartridge manually it just seeps everywhere. Does anyone know if this particular style of nib/feeder assembly can be further disassembled and cleaned, or failing that, what else can I use to get at whatever is still inside the feeder assembly? Thanks in advance. ~ Baenlynn

Wow - I've just been blocked from Ebay. I've had an account since 1999, which I've used fairly often over the years. The vast majority of my activity has been purchasing, and over the past few years mostly of fountain pens. I've sold perhaps five items in all that time. Last month, I received an e-mail saying that my account had been blocked from sales due to some unspecified activity. After contacting Ebay's customer service, they said that an account had been linked with mine. They requested faxed documentation to prove that I am actually myself. I provided the documents, and heard nothing further. I just called their customer service again today, and have been told that my account has been suspended. They will give me no reasons, and have told me that there is no one else to contact. The representative went so far as to say that if I open another account they will simply suspend it again. This is amazingly disturbing to me. I did my best to not take out frustrations on the customer service rep, but I'm beyond furious. I have done nothing wrong, yet through someone else's action I'm now barred from Ebay. Sorry for the rant, FPN community. I'm just very upset.

Aloha - This vintage Sailor has an 18k "sleek" 70's style nib, not the traditional open nib. Red jewel on the blind cap. The section including nib and feed and converter bay are virtually one piece, filled via a squeeze-sac converter. No flow initially, but I managed to get a weak and temporary flow after overnight soak in soapy water, bulb flush (no luck), soak in amonia solution, flossing nib/feed with brass sheet - after all this, I loaded with Iroshiguzu asa-gao and just get a trace onto the soft paper. Some flow from sac, not much. How can the "modern" sleek nib molded over the feed be disassembled to clean the feed, or otherwise improve flow? Dipped, it is a dream writer.
