Noodler's Ahab Brush, Refillable Preppy Highlighter, Or ?
1791thinkshop posted a topic in It Writes, But It Is Not A Fountain Pen ....
I want to put Noddler 'Year of the Pig' (it's just Bulletproof Noodler's Firefly really) in a Noodler's Bush Pen or into a Refillable Preppy to use as a highlighter.... what's my best move? OR is there a better idea? I already love the ink in a Kaweco Sport Stub, but I'm ready to have something to use in my bible. Helpneeded, because I've watched Goulet's video on trimming the brush or replacement brushes to alter the line and wetness, but I've seen all sorts of people complaining about drying problems in the preppy when filling the body instead of using converter or eyedeopper converter... Thoughts?- 3 replies

Hello, everyone! My name is Keith and, while I have been writing for many years, I have never given much thought to the quality of the pen, pencil, or paper that I've used. This has recently changed since I am preparing to begin working on copywork that I intend to pass down to my children as an heirloom; the Bible, both old and new testament, written in my hand (ESV translation). I just bought a ream of Crane's Crest 20lb. 100% cotton paper, but I am still trying figure out what pen to use. I have used (and am quite comfortable with) my Sakura Pigma Micron (005) pens for writing in my study Bible's. Unless I find something of better quality that does not have a tendency to bleed through the page, I plan on using these for my copy work. That being said, I have always been interested in fountain pens, but my experience with them has not been very good. Every one I have ever used has had a tendency to stop writing at the most inopportune times. I am also planning on either binding the finished product myself or having it professionally done, so I welcome advice in that area as well. Thank you all in advance for your time and thoughts!

The 17:18 Series Bible Journal
J_MM posted a topic in Paper & Pen Paraphernalia Reviews and Articles
This is a brief review of the 17:18 Series of Bible Journals. Each journal contains a portion of the Bible that allows you to read and write the text guided by the verse numbers. The left page provides room for notes while the right page is for the text. The paper is FP friendly and I have encountered no bleed through. The binding is stitched and does lay flat making it easy to write in. There is one black ribbon marker. Generally there is plently of room for each verse but a few times there was not. The first writing sample below is from a TWSBI 580 1.1 stub, with Noodler's Navajo Turquoise. The second is a fine nib and I think Purple Martin if I recall correctly. Overall a very nice journal for writing out scripture and making notes on the text.
