From the album: Mercian’s pens
I took this photo to demonstrate the transparency of the areas of my 1954 Pelikan 400’s barrel that are between its chatoyant green stripes.
I uploaded here because I realised that it also shows what the gap between the tines of a perfectly-set nib looks like; i.e. a narrow gap between the tines, with them just touching one another at the writing tip.
