Basic Ballpoints - Favourite Brand?
katiedav posted a topic in It Writes, But It Is Not A Fountain Pen ....
So this isn't a really niche question - or maybe it is here . So, basic ballpoint pens - the kind a teacher marks your work with. What's your favourite brand? BiC Cristal Staedler Papermate Uniball Pilot Parker (arguably not basic, I suppose) Zebra STABILO I've written a questionnaire on an external site but I'm not sure if I can share the link here? Let's give it a go https://katie482.typeform.com/to/WK9IiH I'd love to hear what you think here, too. I'm not sure if I should be embarrassed to admit but I do appreciate a Papermate InkJoy Thanks guys! -
Sheaffer Sentinal Ballpen Refill Options
RustyTines posted a topic in It Writes, But It Is Not A Fountain Pen ....
If anyone can help its you guys! I just purchased a couple of pens. a restored pastel green Sheaffer Sentinel Snorkel (14K triumph nib) and its less appealing counterpart the ballpen. The pens are not in yet, but I did stumble upon a refill for the Sheaffer ballpoint. I immediately purchased it and tested the refill, and am not enthused to write with it. to be honest, I'll probably only use it when I'm in a pinch at a restaurant stuck sketching a design on a napkin, but I'm hoping to find a refill from perhaps another brand that has more glide and juiciness. Thanks in advance for the help! Cheers -
Apologies in advance for asking a query about a ballpen But i find no better place for knowledge then this site. I have learnt so much as regard FPs. Moving on to the pen, I have been given these two pens to get rid of by a friend, i needed to know which ones they are so i can do some more research on how much they would ultimately fetch. One of them is a sterling doufold ballpen. A link on ebay shows this pen for USD 700 (which i find hard to believe) here is the link in any case http://www.ebay.com/itm/PARKER-DUOFOLD-STERLING-SILVER-BALLPOINT-PEN-NEW-IN-BOX-VERY-RARE-PEN-/381366402013?hash=item58cb357bdd The other is also a ballpen, i could not make out which model this one is?

I've had a Parker 65 fountain pen for more than 30 years (12ct rolled gold, English made) I recently aquired a matching ball pen and pencil for £20 each and almost instantly lost the ball pen. On looking for a replacement, I found a gold 180 fountain pen and ball pen set (made in the USA) for £40. Is this the beginning of the end? I seem to have paid a very reasonable price for the 180 set, looking at Ebay. I also have an elderly Platignum which actually writes very nicely. I can upload some pics if that would be of any interest.
