Hello everyone... I have recently obtained an odd bird of an Eversharp Symphony -- my understanding is that the first-generation "500" models had the dramatic Loewy-designed caps with the offset halves and the creased clip peaking more sharply, but most indentifiably, no band around the cap base. I recently purchased an (admittedly pretty janky) version that I thought was interesting. Looks to be a first-generation design, but WITH a cap band. Also has the metal threads attached to the barrel (take my word) and a single banner nib with plain tines (photos if requested of any and all the above). A sort of transitional model? Anyone have an idea? Thanks! Matt

I bought Pelikan 500 fountain pen with rolled gold cap and turn knob. It looks like every other Pelikan 500 pen but with one difference. As shown on photos in attachment, instead of Pelikan emblem on top of the cap, there is "NG" engraved. Does anyone know the reason for this? I know that some companies ordered pens with their logo on top of the cap (Bosch) , and I would like to know is it the same thing with this pen. Thank You for help

Hi everyone ! Recently, I've got a nice 500 from a antique shop.But when I tried to knock the piston unit,I've ruined the barrel.Now I will buy a 400nn brown tortoise parts to replace my 500. Now I have two solutions here 1. Knock the 400nn piston unit out and replace with the 500 piston knob (is it compatible?) 2. Just change the cap and become a 500nn Any another better methods? Thanks
