    Montblanc 264 Help Needed

Seemingly a simple task, swap the nibs between two regular black 264 models, but too many questions already. Sorry, I tried looking on the Web and in the forums, but just did not get lucky this time. Before I could cause some permanent damage, could anyone please instruct me how to safely remove the nibs? Everything else seems in order, except the fact that it looks as if both have never even been cleaned. Thank in advance!
  2. I already posted same topic in Repair Q&A forum, but didn't get clear answer. According to the advice of senior member of the forum I am re-posting it here in hope someone who know the answer will see it. Another piston problem... I am not sure how to remove piston mechanism from Montblanc 264 fountain pen. I tried to unscrew it, but it does not go. I am afraid to use more force... Is there any special tool to remove it or I should just use more force. May the force be with you!

    Success!

What is it that makes me come back so regularly to the warm, slippery comfort of a vintage Montblanc? A few have passed through my hands since the illness took hold and for some time now, I've been searching for my perfect Montblanc. One that sits in my hand just right and compliments the eccentricities of my writing. The right weight; the right nib; the right feed and balance. Now I'm happy to report that after extensive and enjoyable field trials, I have found it! It's a vintage 264. The nib is an oblique medium with soft flex from F-BB. The line it lays down is so ready it's almost disconcerting, a whisper of inky loveliness that's driven me to embarrassing rhapsodies on this forum. When first I picked up the Montblanc marque, I could reasonably have said, "Nice, but what's the big deal?". But this, ladies and gentleman is a cracker! Don't just take my word for it: http://goodwriterspens.com/?s=mont+blanc+264 Even though I know I shall entertain other MBs in future (why stop while I'm enjoying it?), this lovely 264 is mine. ***Apologies for any hyperbole used in this communique.
  4. Hi, as I am interested in the montblanc nibs from the 50ies I was wondering whether anybody knows whether the nibs + 'section' from the different series can be exchanged for each other. Specifically I am interested in the following : are the nibs & 'section' (I mean the part that is screwed inside the section) between the 254 and 264 series interchangeable?are the nibs & 'section' between the 254 and the 256 interchangeable? Many thanks for your help!!
