Click pens is brand name of Unique pen industries based in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. TORPEDO is one of the best starter fountain pens that I am reviewing today. A trusted pen for any student and is very well priced accordingly. This pen foresees the common problems of modern Indian fountain pens especially students that just have forayed into the fountain pens. Images i have attached are from my phone camera, it'll serve your purpose though. Its a casual review. Please do share your views. DESIGN 9/10 The Pen is torpedo shaped but it shall remind you of the legendary appearance of Sheaffer Imperial in looks. The steel colored cap and the solid colored barrel are all excellent finished. Click is engraved in the barrel and it doesn't harm your eyes. Its a simple, no nonsense pen that is a new option other than Camlin Trinity which has been for long in the market. Its a Catridge converter pen. BUILT AND CONSTRUCTION 8/10 The pen feels very light in hand and the cap can be posted, even then its weight is negligible. An Excellent pen for note taking or edc usage pen that you wont mind if its lost. This one, a user won't feel any issue with its construction and build quality. Its a acrylic moulded pen and is solidly built and its material is thick enough to bare rough handling. Being made out of acrylic material it does not attracts scratches and retains its shinning. The cap is metal based. Very light in terms of weight. BALANCE AND SIZE 10/10 A light yet solid and above all well balanced pen. The cap is light and the pen when capped is evenly balanced. NIB AND FEED 8/10 The good part about the nib is the tipping size and quality. Its excellent for its price. The nib is a no.5 size nib. The nib may look small but its well proportionate with the body. The feed is a plastic feed and doesn't burp. It's easily taken out and then fitted, hence no issues while cleaning. INK FILLING SYSTEM 8/10 The points less given is due to lack of clarity whether it can be used an eyedropper or not. As per seller information its a c/c filled pen, but the plastic barrel does hint that it can be eyedropper filled. The only issue is the metal ring in section barrel closing that may or may not result in ink corrosion. All in all, i liked the ease of use with both cartridge and converter. The pen comes with a slide up and down filling converter. It fills the ink easily in first go. Length of pen (closed) - 127mm Length of pen (open and unposted)- 115mm Length of Cap – 52mm CONCLUSION Its a small sized, well balanced pen paired with a good nib and C/C filling system @ an MSRP of Rupees 125. Approach ASA pens for this VFM money pen. Available in Solid Black, Maroon, Blue and White.
