Minneapolis Pen Posse April 11th

 

Hello Minnesota fountain pen friends! Let’s get together again and share our pen passion. Thanks to Robert, our first gathering in January was a wonderful experience and I think everyone came away looking forward to another. And hopefully, those who weren’t able to come last time will be able to share in the fun this time.

 

Robb Swenson’s sister, Lynn, is graciously opening her office to us in downtown Minneapolis. (It turns out she likes fountain pens too!) I hope all of you can clear your calendars for Saturday, April 11th at 2:00 p.m. and get together for another Minnesota pen posse.

 

Place: Lynn Schulte Design, Savoie Building, 126 N. 3rd Street, Suite 510, Minneapolis, MN 55401.

This is located in the Warehouse District, just north of Hennepin Avenue and only a few blocks from the light rail. Street parking is metered at $1.00/hour, or there is parking in the ramp on the corner of N. 4th Street and 2nd Avenue and surface lots off Washington Avenue.

 

In case people want to continue the fun afterwards, there are various restaurants in the area. I’ll just throw out the idea of Pizza Luce, which is one block over on N. 4th Street. They have lots of yummy food besides pizza (although their pizza is GREAT), and have a nice selection of microbrews. This is merely a suggestion.

 

Note to Ethernautrix-- you are certainly invited to join us again if you want to experience Spring in the Twin Cities!

I've not been to that Pizza Luce, only the one on Lyndale Ave. South, but that one is a hit with both myself and the daughter, so I vote for Rena's one.

I would love to attend another Pen Posse Minneapolis! Alas... I think Pen Posse Nihonmachi with winedoc is going to require fiscal concentration and restraint.

I thought it would be a stretch for you to make this posse too, but you know you're welcome anytime. Understandable that you'd be saving up for the temptation of Winedoc's beauties! Sounds like fun — enjoy!!

But now that we Minnesotans have found each other here on FPN, I have no doubt there will be more pen posse opportunities for you to join in on. The bright side: I think you have a good excuse now to get yourself a new pen — a consolation pen!!!!! eh? or a new bottle of ink? I think so.

Oh I soooo agree!! I think that I will do that. I just fixed up an old writing box (The original laptop :roflmho: ) I found it in our basement. I am a member of the other Twin Cities pen club and would like to attend this open house.

 

Rob Swenson attended a few of our monthly meetings and told me about this event.

 

I'll bring some stuff for show and tell and I am always up for a minor pub crawl <g>.

I just fixed up an old writing box (The original laptop :roflmho: ) I found it in our basement. It belonged to my grandmother, when I get the pen that I found inside it fixed I will put pictures up.
