Okay, I got them to manufacture 100 green striated cellulose 146 pens, with old-syle logo and off-white bird spat and gold accoutrement, with your choice of monotone 18c nib in M stub and EF round, or 14c EF full flex.

Who wants in?

How much are we talking?

I can't go on. I confess. It's a dream, a fantasy....

But wait, what if I DID ask? Shall I? This would be the kind of Limited Edition that would make me sit up and take notice!

$1,000?

Fred,

Will there a provenance document attesting to the fantasy limited-ness? :)

Let me change the nature of this thread. Those who would be willing to buy such an item, a modern replica of Montblanc's own classic, without resort to bling and gaudy ornament, please show your interest here. If we can present an order of 100 pens with commitments secured by deposits, who knows where this might lead?

At least dreams are still free.............

Quite.

It would be very interesting, and charming even, but the realist in me fears that for a $100,000 custom order, Montblanc would honestly rather see a bunch of small diamonds go into one single pen than spend the effort of making one hundred vintage replicas. But, who knows, maybe I am so wrong here...

Dear Fred,

Why don't we go the whole hog and do a 149 and a L139.

At $1,000 I am in for one each

Stay well,

Solomon

I'm still up for two...one M stub and one flexy EF. I've got Rick's cash to put down as part of my portion of the security.
