I love this ink. It's currently in my Pilot Custom 743 FA.

I also love the colour in the right pen. It is beautiful from a very wet writing fine nib width but in drier writers is not so distinctive and appears more like a brown, in my experience. From a wet nib that can produce shading, it is awesome looking.

Downsides are: I get massive nib creep from it on every nib and it takes ages to dry especially from a wet writer.

But the great colour is what will make me buy it again.

Hi,

Wow. I really like that.

I've got what I think is called Noodler's El Lawrence in my Lamy 2000 (fine point). I've been thinking of having the nib re-ground to a more italic point so I'll get some thick & thin line weights which should also give some shading to whatever it in it at the time. The dark olive is nice although I'd like to try a dark forrest green also.

However this burgundy looks great from here and I may have to find some of that too. Is it a bulletproof ink? Bulletproof means waterproof and not removable, right? Or what?

The red component washes away but the black component is bulletproof.

Thanks for the review! I quite like the color of Noodler's red-black. It appeals to me, esp. in my dipping pens.

May you have pens you enjoy, with plenty of paper and ink. :)

Please use only my FPN name "Gran" in your posts. Thanks very much!

This is a very nice looking ink...I know you said its nothing really exciting, but thats kind of what I look for in my inks. Nothing flashy, but just slightly different. Most of my writing is done for business purposes so thats why I dont usually go for the "exciting" inks that would draw attention to them. Nice review though.
