I really like this colour, although it's very far from my expectation of blue-black!

In a wet writer, it starts out as a reasonable blue-black.

In a dry writer, it is pretty teal

In both cases, it fades (two weeks, a month, more or less) to a rather greenish teal.

I have a bottle, use it for temporary notes. I don't like what it fades to, and won't buy more.

Except for the fading, it is a well behaved ink though, works in most any pen.

If I could "lock in" the initial color, I would certainly would use it in some pens.

Thanks for the review. I appreciate it. As always, very useful.

May you have pens you enjoy, with plenty of paper and ink. :)

Please use only my FPN name "Gran" in your posts. Thanks very much!

Waterman Blue Black is the default ink used up here at the pen spa when pens are custom ground, adjusted for flow and smoothness or having nib repairs. It is considered very benign in all pens and has an added benefit of washing off of ink fingers at the end of the day fairly easily!!

We love the fact that it is an entirely non-quirky ink which certainly can not be said for many other brands/colors.
