WTB: older Lamy 2000

Ahoy! Might be a bit of a long shot, but I'm looking for an older Lamy 2000. I'm not sure of when aspects of this model changed, but the pen I want has these attributes:

- Broad nib preferred; also double broad, OB, or OBB

- L logo on turning nob

- Imprint of point size on the section or knob

If you have one of these, please PM me! I'd be interested in paying with straight up monies, or making a trade; I mostly have other vintage German pens.

Thanks!

Aaron

You are a cruel man, Alfredo! I've been looking one passively for a while. I thought I scored one on eBay, but it has turned out to have a crack around the entire section- gotta go back. Let me know if you change your mind! :D

Aaron,

Make sure the vintage 2000 also has the embedded ball bearing under the end of the clip, not the solid stainless machined end like the current 2000 clips have.

My latest Lamy 2K ebay purchase is exactly the model you are describing.

Did not even know that it is such an old pen until I saw your post.

But I cannot sell it to you - it has a medium nib! :roflmho:

Took me at least three days of cleaning and a new O-ring from Lamy but now the pen writes like new :D

From what I understand, the nib assembly is virtually indistinguishable across the years. You can try getting an older L2K body and then swap the nib out. Of course, this is assuming you're OK with the section/barrel nib size imprint not matching the installed nib. ;)

MYU- I was thinking of doing that. I got such a pen, a broad, on eBay recently. It wasn't quite as described, and there was a crack around the entire pen at the ink window- the price I paid was definitely more than the nib by itself was worth and the seller wouldn't swing any sort of deal so I had to send the whole thing back.

I was tempted, believe me!
