You're right -- too much purple! Other than that, it is a very well-behaved ink. Chuck, the Pen Doctor at Fahrney's, says it is the only ink he uses any more.

Thanks for the review. I do like Aurora ink...but the blue is too purple for me. I prefer Visconti's blue and Waterman's FL Blue to Aurora for an everyday blue ink. The Black however is my #1 black ink....but I'm going to try Herbin Pearl Noir, of which I have heard great things.

I'm somewhat ambivalent about this ink too -- I like its handling, but the colour doesn't excite me. Lately, I have been drifting more toward Diamine Royal Blue as my blue of choice.
