NAVY Fleet G200

Just wanted to share some photos of a pen that I found recently in the wild. The pen is of a make called Navy and the model is probably called Fleet. The shopkeeper told me the pen is from the 60s and was made in Japan. I picked up the pen because I thought it was pretty and also that its nib looked very much like that on a Waterman Carene.

The clip is spring loaded and looks similar to Pilot clips.

The hoop filler looks fixed (have not attempted to remove) and it looks like it has a pli glass sac. The breather tube is clearly visible.

Was the Navy pen indeed made in Japan? Is any information available about this company? Will be delighted to know.

Cheers,

Hari

Really great find, Hari. You're right--it looks very similar to a Carene, like an early prototype. ;) I love that nib design, although I wonder if that extension on the top of the section is prone to cracking. Is there any flex to the nib where it rubs up against it?

The nib is quite firm, as you can see in the third pic from top, there is a gap between the nib and the plastic extension, so the nib would not contact it. The arrangement and extension looks similar to those on a MB 74 etc. I have no idea how to remove the nib, though i would like to just to know how it is put together.
