I didnt know Lamy made Purple ink. Nice color on the paper!!!

On their German website purple ('violett') is only listed for cartridges. Maybe in the U.S. they sell it in bottles?

No, Lamy Purple/Violet is for sale in cartridges only over here, too. Based on digital images and reviews, and on my experience with Lamy Blue and Lamy Blue-Black, I think the Purple/Violet is Lamy's best ink.

I thought again about Marina's sample page in the middle of Ink Reviews: "Diamine Imperial Purple, sorry no pics," a sample page I am repeating here:

So, Marina, how did you put the Lamy Purple in the Wearever pen, and how did you make it available for a dip pen? Did you just drain some cartridges into an inkpot or bottle? Or are you a dowser for bottled inks no one else can easily find? B)

Sorry goodwhiskers, I replied to this in the other post  You can get rid of that one if you want to!

Well, I will confess how I made it! Emrecan sent me some Lamy Purple cartridges and I popped one open and syringed it (is that a verb?) into a little container so I could Q-Tip it onto the paper. I used the same ink to dip my pens into for the writing.

So all I have are cartridges.. don't know about the availability of it in bottles!

I thought I knew it until I thought again about how Marina might have made her delightful sample page for this thread.

haha :D

Thanks for divulging, Marina :D .

If Marina hasn't happened across bottled Lamy Purple, I guess it's not available.

That's OK, Marina :D . I had left my comment in the originating thread  . I recently figured out how to code quotes myself, and then forgot and then re-learned just now. I don't know any HTML, I'm just puttering around. This is fun!

You are cracking me up over here...

Just so nobody gets the wrong idea, our pal Goodwhiskers is being silly. I do not have any special abilities for tracking down obscure bottles of ink!! But if I did, I would not tell you about it anyway B)
