"new" Highlands Heather

This color is incredibly unique. I love it. It looks lovely on a page full of it, very vintage. It is not too girly. The problem is that it is dry, it spreads, and it will skip sometimes. Blech.

 

Good thing I can make it quite easily from SM Burgundy & Lex Grey (see here).

 

It's also very different from the purple-grey of old HH. (see here).

 

The liquid version of this ink looks like muddy water. Yuck. Frightening to put it in your pen. It's very opaque. It hasn't hurt any of my pens, and seems to wash out after one or two chases, but .. I could imagine some fraidy-cats being apprehensive about this.
