Hi, I have here clear plastic fountain pens - about the size of M200, the filling system is via a piston accessed by removing the clear blind cap. These are not Pelikan Quality - but lighter and the price is much lighter too :)

The pens are clear - they do have some color on the ends - as seen in the picture - please let me know if you have preference & I will try to accommodate.

The comparison with M200 Demo is shown in this photo.

I had one of these go dry with ink (lack of use) - I was able to take out the pison filler from the back and clean it out, a little dab of silicone grease (aquatic quality) and good as new. Incidentally that also addresses the "Staining questions" It can be cleaned out - however beware you may break the pen if you are not "that tinkering type of person".

Ok - now the usual good stuff - 1st come 1st served.

One pen for 10 bucks, shipping 2.5 bucks 1st class non insured non trackable CONUS - shipped in plastic tube.

2nd and onwards pens 1 buck additional shipping.

International - I love you all - very much - however I shipped yesterday to Awestrailia registered for 14.60 bucks (ouch)

so your best bet is the 4 dollar 1st class international - apparently this is not insured nor trackable - so if it is lost - I cannot be responsible.

Please email me My email address TRY NOT TO PM ME - it is more tedious and my Treo 755p is not that fast.

I will answer emails later after work - many thanks if you could read this far :)

I got one of these (don't remember from who), and I have been quite satisfied with it. Ink has gotten behind the piston just a little bit, but it doesn't bug me. YMMV, of course.

Jimmy are they iridium tipped or folded tips like some inexpensive pens....

My little girl is very very particular about her pens... I guess I taught her TOO well  :cloud9:

Very gOod question. These are steel tipped nibs. They are a Medium running on finer side. In my experience they have not been rough, but it is not as if these are individually smoothened nibs. I will be posting nib pictures later.

I can't say for certain, but they look folded to me. I find the pen to be smooth but understand that means it will wear out on me much sooner than a more durably designed nib would.

Nib Close ups - Color Shots added :) I do not see any folding of the nib tips - however I think Tom may be more knowledgeable. The front of the nib says "Iridium Tip" However I recall reading somewhere analysis of more expensive pens was not positive for Iridium. Maybe someone else recalls that.

Thanks for your time and attention.

There are 3 colors as follows :)

All US orders shipped to date - Would appreciate feedback.

A word on international orders.

Please note - 1st class international shipping is not trackable without registration - while the shipping itself may be 4 dollars and some cents - the registration is 10 dollars. All international shipped orders will be at the buyer's risk - I can provide proof of mailing, but I do not know what happens to packages after they leave US.

International packages are mailed on Wednesdays only - (that is when I have time :))

I do have more of these pens - so please do keep the orders coming :)

Also note - there is only one nib size - which is a fine medium or medium fine - however it makes better sense to you.

Many thanks for your time

I have to say, I didn't expect it to show up so quickly. My first impressions: not bad for $10. out of the box, it feels not unlike a Platinum Preppy. Which isn't the finest of pens, but it isn't bad. The piston is really smooth. Compared to the Reform 1745, which is probably the most appropriate comparison, it has some advantages and disadvantages. The size is much better, pretty much the same as a Pelikan M200. The 1745 is so small and skinny, this pen is a much more agreeable size.

It's a much more firm nib than the 1745, which for me is a good thing. On cheap pens like this, I prefer a firm nib, as they're pens I stuff in my pocket when going out and use when I'm jotting down notes, often standing up. The nib reminds me a lot of the Preppy's.

The ink chamber is a bit bigger than the 1745's, a few tenths of a mL than the 1745's.

The nib has a fair bit of tipping for the line width it has. I've not done any yet, but it could definitely need some smoothing for what I like. The nib isn't scratchy, but it had a fair bit of feedback. Some love it, I like glass. I'm not sure if it's 'tooth,' as I've never really had that defined, but I'm guessing the sensation is tooth. That is, the drag is like a #2 yellow pencil, with the sound coming from writing being quite similar.

In a big way it beats the Preppy: screw on cap!

The pen is pretty dry, again for me out of the box with only one water flush. As always, this depends on the ink. Not annoyingly dry like some pens (gunked up Sheaffer Triumphs), but dry. With a full load of ink, it'd last you for a long time. :)

The nib imprint is rad- a dollar sign in a circle. Who needs Mont blanc bling when you can go back to the basics and get a big DOLLAR SIGN! :D

I have a different pen which is of Pakistani origin, a Dux to be specific. It's not a fantastic pen but for the price, hard to beat. Good design and fairly good production quality.

These aren't typically pens which will last for decades but for the price, what do you expect? I consider my Dux to be a very good value for the money.

I don't know if this helps answer questions about a totally unrelated pen but it may give a little insight into Pakistani pens generally.

"Dollar" pen received last night.

Currently inked with Ottoman Rose.

Smooth enough on paper - not glassy, but not bad at all.

Paper is Clairefontaine.

I don't find it to be particularly dry. I inked it straight away - no water flush.

Aaron's post sums it up rather well.

I did forget to say that it's a bit dry, but not incredibly so. I'm really annoyed by very dry pens, they tend to frustrate me for some reason. That isn't a problem with this one. It manages to write with Noodler's Polar Blue without any feathering. :)
