Danitrio Takumi

My raw ebonite Danitrio Takumi has just arrived. What a great pen.

The Takumi is the C/C filler and when filled worked first time and I filled a whole A4 page just testing it. No drying out problems at all. The nib I ordered is a broad flexible and was expecting it to be similar to a Pelikan nib. To my surprise it is very flexible, fantastic. Kevin (Winedoc) tested the nib for me before shipping, Thanks Kev it's superb.

I shall follow this up with some photos against a few others for size comparisons although this issue has been addressed in this forum.

It is a large pen but very comfortable to hold, I will not post the cap as it is long enough without and well ballanced. The raw ebonite is a very tactile warm material to hold. The clip is very plain and understated as is the whole pen in appearance except I might add the size. It's presence is awesome, god knows what the Mikado must be like (I'm ordering one in the new year).

There is quite a bit of thread so screwing and unscrewing the cap takes a few turns (3 1/2) which I don't mind at all although for users who use this pen to write sporadically ie capping / uncapping may find this annoying. I like the fact that the cap is well screwed on.

Overall I give it top marks 5/5.

To finish I have no affiliation at all with Kevin and Internet pens, I'm just a thrilled customer who will come back for more. BTW my pen only took 5 days to reach me here in New Zealand and given the time of year it is remarkable. Thanks again Kevin for expediting.

I agree...on both counts!

Thanks a lot for the review, Gary. It's always nice to see a pen that is so talked-about turn out to be so worthy of all the attention :)

Enjoy!

I ordered one too :) Oh my gosh, it looks like a huge pen! makes the namiki pale in comparison. But at least I hear this pen is light. Is it lighter than the namiki?
