You probably know this, but to get to the larger size, you have to click on "all sizes" near the top of the photo. I'm new at this photo linking thing, so I hope this works, and I hope it's useful to someone.

Ink: Diamine Indigo in all pens, even though the color varies by the pen because some of the pens write wetter than the others.

Excellent work!

I like the fact that you have used the same ink for a great comparison.

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of nothing at all...

Due to seeing this comparison, I've just ordered two Lamy nibs, a 1.1 and a 1.5, to see which I like best. I intend installing them on my Lamy Studio. I'll post my impressions here when I've had a chance to try them out. Wish they'd hurry up and arrive!

OK, I've now got my new nibs! So far I've tried the 1.1 mm italic, and it is quite wonderful! I can see my Studio getting lots of use! I'm using Waterman Havana Brown in it at the moment, and it seems like a good combination. I haven't tried the 1.5 mm nib yet as the 1.1 is so good!

Bernie, I'm glad that my comparison was helpful to you. I've been considering the 1.5mm nib as well, and I'm curious to know whether it handles as well as the 1.1. I hope you enjoy your new nibs. :)

Thank you for the comparison. I was very interested in your comparison because I ordered two 1.1 nibs several days ago. I plan to have Richard Binder regrind one of the 1.1 nibs to a .7 mm cursive italic, for use in my Studio.

Regards,

Ray
