Hi

After my bexley broke unintentionnally two months ago when I unscrewed the cap :crybaby: I decided to buy another pen for replacing it and because I went 29 years old the 30th november. I went a mora's shop a saw an unusual 360. I baught it for a very good price. It is an omas 360 colonial from the year 2002 in new old stock condition. It is smaller than the 360 magnum and the nib is smaller too but the quality is the same. Let's review the pen

finish:

excellent, warm to the touch, the vegetal resin body is very well crafted. Omas has a long experience of manufacturing pens with this noble material. The color itself is a light saddle maroon which makes it elegant and not flashy. It is a very durable pen too.

weight:

It is a very balanced pen because it is not too light and not too heavy. It is a very ergonomic pen, righties or lefties can use this pen with out probs. The pen never fatigues the hand and writing with it, is a pleasure.

nib:

like on the 360 magnum, the nib is first class. Despite its smaller size and being a fine nib, it is an amazingly smooth nib which is hard to criticize because it is flawless. The nib is a major advantage on this pen and it is a real writing pleasure like any Omas. It is as good as a sailor 1911 nib if not better. The nib can is made to be written ambidextrously.

filling system:

the traditional piston filling system. A very secure and proven system on many fat pens and oversized pens. The capacity is quite good and the pen is not subject to leaking.

Conclusion:

A great pen according the price I paid, a quite unusual pen too. This 360 is for people liking unusual pens and not flashy colors. It is also a way to distinguish yourself with something special.

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

The Colonial Brown Omas pens came with rose gold trim, too. A nice complement to the brown and a bit of a departure from the norm for Omas.

Nice review. I just purchased a 360 on ebay myself. Very nice pen and it does not roll of the desk.

Good luck with yours.

Thanks for the review

Harv.
