Noodler's Stockholm Indigo

I was at <a href="http://www.nk.se/" target="_blank">NK</a> in Stockholm earlier today, and browsing their quite impressive line-up of Noodler's inks, I noticed that they apparently have their own exclusive now, "Stockholm Indigo". I asked whether I could see it on paper, and was immediately handed what I believe was a Lamy Safari filled with the stuff.

 

I apologize for my handwriting... that's Stockholm Indigo at the top, with Pelikan Blue and a (supposedly) neutral grey

paint sample thrown in below for reference.

Roligt att det finns åtminstone någon annan från Sverige i det här forumet.

 

I have also bought Stockholm Indigo and I really like the ink. The colour is more bluish than violet, but of course it is a matter definition. The colour is deep, bright and beautiful. It is also permanent. Anyone who knows if it is bulletproof?

 

Comparing with other Noodlers it looks like Le Coleuer Royale with a hint of purple.

Mine looks like a slightly lighter version of Iraqi Indigo (Violet Vote).

(I just picked up two bottles of it at NV Papper last week, and can post a longer review once I figure out where to get access to a color scanner.)

Yesterday I picked up a bottle and I must say I'm very disappointed.

My Lamy 2k with XF nib writes very nice thin lines with other Noodlers ink (e.g. Zhivago and some others) so I expected this to be the same. I use this pen a lot in my Filofax and clearly need XF.

This ink, however, feels like it has been diluted with several parts of water.

The lines just grow to more than double size before the ink dry. A lot of feathering. A very dull and flat end result.

I will never buy again.

Did you shake the bottle? Give it a good long shake then fill you pen and try again.

I am also quite disappointed. It feels like an "erasable" blue ink, which may be the point of it, but I didn't see it mentioned on the bottle so I feel very disappointed, expecting at very least the ink to not smudge after five minutes(!) of drying time.

 

Sorry for updating an old thread, just had to get my disappointment out of me.
