Bohem jammed retractable nib

My Bohem (retractable nib) got jammed and I poured in some water on the retracted nib cylinder this made and the pen function well for some time but after some days it began to stick again. This time I sprayed some silicon spray and the pen is now functioning well but now I have a grinding noise when I protrude and retract the nib. I managed to unscrew the front part of the pen, with the nib protruded I found some brown rust on the cylindrical tube just beneat the nib which I cleaned, I beleive that there is more rust in the mechanism which I can't reach which is causing the grinding noise. Can anyone help me with this problem how can I dismantle the mechanism to clean it up.

Many thanks

Martin,

I had a similar problem with my Boheme, and ended up having to send it back to Montblanc for repair. Unfortunately, water in the mechanism is a no-no, as I found out later. I suggest that you send it back to MB for fixing.

Debbie,

Thanks for your reply, I think I have no option but to send it to MB for repairs.

MB makes a cleaning solution that comes in cartridge form. It's a cheap, easy way to keep the pen cleaned.

Could someone explain how to disassemble/unscrew the MB Boheme FP? Can the piece below the thread (i.e. under the rings in which montblanc boheme is engraved) be unscrewed?

Is the front part of the pen unscrewable and if so do you screw the barrel clockwise or anticlockwise to unscrew the front part?
