Parker Frontier Chromaflair Pictures. Teal and Purple

Recommended Posts

There's been a bit of talk about the different Frontier finishes so I thouhgt I take a few pics of the Chromaflair models. I have the purple and the teal one. (Well, the teal one is not mine but I could borrow it for picture taking.)

The purple on top, the teal below:

Uncapped, as you can see the grip is the same color as the barrel.

I couldn't get the different hues of the purple one pictured. It varies from blue/purple to reddish purple

These are my efforts of the teal one:

On top the purple, below the teal one. By changing the angle of the light with the teal pen they now look the same:

Again teal:

Still teal but looking kind of blue now:

And believe it or not, this is the barrel of the teal one looking purple now:

pen open:

Imageshack is desperately slow so I hope all the pictures show correctly.

Hope this is helpful to someone. :)

Hi lisa,

Thanks for sharing your photos! The color change is much more dramatic than I would've guessed from the typical eBay photo. Is the colored gripping section still made of rubber, or did Parker switch it to plastic?

I'll probably pick one up on eBay in a few weeks --- I have to reserve some time for my new FPN pen, which is currently in transit :)

Yes the grip is still rubber. As you can see in the last picture the whole grip section is made of chromaflair colored plastic but they've put translucent rubber over the grip. Or at least I think it's translucent rubber, seems like the easiest way to keep the grip the same color.
