For some reason those sold a whole lot better in Europe then in the US. Strange.

Probably the whole HD mystique. If you couldn't afford the motorcycle, you could at least buy a decent pen and advertise your fandom that way.

Thank you,

-William

How long ago were these pens available in stores?

I assume they are no longer in production.

They still pop up on eBay from time to time.

Please visit my wife's website.

The reason I ask is if it was just a few years ago I might be able to hit a few HD dealerships in the area to check for NOS.

Better yet, I have a friend that works at a dealership. If someone wouldn't mind giving me a number, preferably the HD product number, I can get her to do a dealer search. the search is not always accurate since I've had bike parts searched for this way to not find any. Then I go to the nearest dealership and there's the part. blink.gif

I mentioned pens to her shortly after getting in to this pen craze and she said HD used to have a fountain pen available. I told her she was crazy or mistaken since I'd never seen such a beast. I better apologize before asking her to do a search. laugh.gif

the second one I bought in graz (austria) three months ago (january, 07),

I discovered it hidden and forgotten somewhere between cigars and zipos. the saleswoman in tobacco shop was surprised, that they have something like that tongue.gif

Original pens and nice pens as well. At the salon du deux roues, 2 years ago they were sold like hot cakes.

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

The odd (?) thing I noticed about the engraving of the H-D logo on the nib is that it is upside down to the person holding the pen!
