I gave away one of my green, so the Forest Green ink is a good replacement. :)

This looks like a great ink for the person who was asking about a dark green ink earlier today. Lovely color and delightful writing. Thanks!

I came here for the pictures and stayed for the conversation.

Although they have their place, I have found a cursive italic to be a much more pleasant writing experience compared to the traditional/straight italic nib, with very similar results.

Jared,

A crisp italic is a different writing experience because the tip of the nib is shaped like a chisel. For those individuals who never used a crisp italic, it would be difficult to compare the experience. Without a doubt, for the average writer, a cursive italic is the better choice for writing comfort and at the same time providing line variations. By the way, I believe this is the first ink review that was done with a crisp italic. Perhaps Ann (the moderator) could chime in to correct me if I'm wrong. :)

Interesting colour. I can see that it is darker than Sherwood Green. How does it compare to Ebony Green? On my monitor they look close.

I don't have Ebony Green. Perhaps another helpful member here can step up to the plate and offer the information you're enquiring about.

Has anyone used the Diamine Delamere Green? It's my favourite dark green ink, but zero water resistant. This Noodler's Forest green looks similar, anyone has both and can comment and compare them ? Would be much appreciated..

I know I'm very late to the party, but I just bought a bottle of this ink and I hate it. Very boring, whiteboard-marker type green. I regret wasting my money. I'll likely never find a use for this ink. Do not recommend at all.

Colour preference varies widely - some will love this colour, others hate it. That's a decision each of us has to make for ourselves. The information most useful to others is how the ink behaves: flow, lubrication, feathering/bleedthrough, nib creep, etc..

I purchased some of this awhile back, expecting something similar to a typical "forest green" color. That was the day I learned the lesson of checking ink color, not just the name  It was much more of a green-black while I wanted a color that was truer green, maybe a hint on the darker side. I ended up going with Noodler's Gruene Cactus and love it!

How odd -- I've never seen whiteboard markers *that* color! They're usually a sort of not-saturated-enough kelly-green, like cheap St. Patrick's day decorations. If I could find whiteboard markers that dark green, I'd pounce on them.

If you want to mail the stuff to Colorado, I'd take it off your hands...:-)
