Sorry if you can't read my hand-writing. The writing on the top that was cut off only said Review of the Aurora Optima in red Auroloide, and on the top left it said I am a lefty under writer.

Let me guess, you snatched up the last red one with a medium nib from Bertram's ;) I think it has the older cap band design, doesn't it?

No, it has the newer design I think. It has the two thinner black bands not the one large one.

No, it has the newer design I think. It has the two thinner black bands not the one large one.

The two thin black bands, one above and one below the Greek key design is the older style cap. Look here to see the newer cap band design, which has two smaller Greek key designs.

 

I have this same pen, and it truly is a delightful writing instrument!

 

Here is a discussion of the two cap bands. The blue Optima in the first post has the new band, the green has the old band.
