The nib on the Silver is gold-plated and rhodium-plated two tone per the Sailor website.....But is also says 21K, so which is correct????

I suspect something got lost in Japanese to English translation. The nib says 21K (see picture), so that should be correct. Here's quote from their website:

...This model - The Professional Gear has a selection of 21K or 14K gold nibs and the unique design with a cut-away cap and inlaid Sailor anchor logo on the top. ...

 

 

The mention of gold-plated and rhodium-plated on their website is about "Special Features," which I suspect is due to the fact that this pen comes in two trims (clips, rings, etc.) - Gold-like and rhodum-like (white).
