Five nice old Gold Filled overlay pens, including one set w/ box.. All are resacked. The writing samples are all Waterman's blue-black. If the prices seem less than perfectly logical, note that nib quality and character is a significant part of my pricing strategy. Pictures first, descriptions follow.

1) Keystock ringtop. 3 3/4" capped, 5 3/16" posted. Gothic pattern. 1/30 14k. Small ding at edge of barrel-end. Brassing at areas where cap posts and screws on, otherwise unbrassed. Moderate desk-wear. Lever says "Keystock", with a circle K, whereas nib says "14k, then "A.L. Co". It's confusing, to me at least, because I was sure that I had read somewhere that Keystock was definitely a marque of Eclipse, but now I'm having trouble finding evidence for that; yet I have found what seem to be links between Keystock and Aiken Lambert, which fits with the nib. If anyone has info, I'd love to know more. The nib/feed configuration delivers proportional flow as the tines separate, so the wide lines and the thin lines are the same dark color.

Price = $35

2) The Wahl pen. Iconic pen of the 'teens and 'twenties. 3 5/8" capped, 4 7/8" posted. No dings or dents, with the exception of a little area of abrasion to the bead that holds the barrel-cap in place. Light posting-wear. Small, empty cartouche. Parallel lines pattern. No hallmark; it just says "Wahl Pen, gold filled, made in USA" on the cap. Nib says Wahl 2. This nib/feed delivers proportionately less ink as the tines spread, so the film becomes thinner, and the wide lines become lighter in color, resulting in that nice "wash" effect.

Price = $50 SOLD Thank You

3) Ingersoll slender flattop. On the cap, in elegant script, it says: "Ingersoll Self Filler, Pat. Pdg. Made in USA, 12k Rolled Gold". Chevron pattern, like-new condition, small blank cartouche. The nib says "Ingersoll St. Paul", and has a lot of flex w/ good recovery. 5 7/8" capped, 6 1/4" posted.

Price = $50 ON HOLD

4) Signet ringtop. Signet is another Rexall brand, like Belmont. (Here is a great article on Rexall pens.) 4 1/16" capped, 5 1/8" posted. Barrel says "Signet, Sold Only at the Rexall Stores, 1/9 Gold Filled, Pat. Pend." Somehow a Conklin nib found its way onto this pen: "Conklin 2 Toledo". This pen, like #1, writes a very dark, saturated line. No dings or scratches; some wear from screwing on and posting the cap. Broken parallel line pattern.

price=$40

5) Signet ringtop set. Pen is 1/16" capped, 5 1/8" posted; pencil = 4". Both are in like-new condition. Totally smooth; no chasing. Same barrel inscription as #4; nib says "-S-14k". The nib is very fine, and provides the "wash" quality described @ #2. Pencil works, and contains one length of appx. 1.1 mm lead. Comes with box; I should have photographed it but forgot. It's heavy, blue textured cardboard outside, blue velvet inside; the velvet is all faded except under the pen and pencil, suggesting they spent some time just sitting there.

Price = $60

I take paypal everywhere and check or money order CONUS. Shipping is included in the stated price domestically; for international customers I will tack on the difference. If you are not satisfied with your pen, send it back, & I will refund your money.

Thanks for taking the time to look,
