Here some pictures of my pelikans.

The one on the left is a m150. Others m200/ m400 size. m600 on the right.

Robert, the M420 is stunning. Very nice. We have pretty similar tastes, I'd say!

When I saw this one on stylophiles with the m450 I immediately loved it.

Have to say I don't use it much. The m600 is by far my daily writer.

 

Well... I couldn't help myself. Already last week I saw this seller (exlusivepens) got an M420 that went for 150€. I told to myself: "ehi, that a price I would be ready to pay for it..."

Today the following stars alignment happened:

- Finished to sell three pens in a row here on FPN

- Ended a damn hard work week

- Surfed ebay and found the same seller had one more M420

 

So guess what's next?

The M420 is my all-time favorite Pelikan! I recently bought a 0.5 stub nib with a 7 degree left oblique for my M420 from a fellow FPN member. It is my best writer now!

Mmmmm...very nice. The splashes of color from the green ink window and the gold on the nib make it very sexy. Well done!

Thanks everybody for the kind comments! To top my "weekend happiness" today I received a Blue M405 I ordered more than a week ago. I was unsure on that one but since the model is now out of production and the price was very interesting for a new specimen, I did pull the trigger.

 

I just got my M625 couple weeks ago. the M420 could be my next one!

 

If the M420 works well for me, the M620 and M625 will be on my list, they looks gorgeous.

Superb pen! I really like the 420, and the 625 as well, but with my preference in pens of the 800 size, I'm hoping Pelikan will one day bring out the 825 or 820, that would be a seriously tempting pen! In the meantime, I'll hunt for a 850 :-)

 

Is the 405 the solid blue one? Or did only the 605 come in solid blue?

If I make the same picture now there will be just two small differences: the M150 has a green body and the M405 is blue. The rest is the same.

As previously said: I like your tastes!

It's official: It's Pelikan week for me.

I am waiting for this M420 to be delivered towards the end of the week, so that should be enough to call it a good week. But...

 

Saturday I found out that a colleague of mine was in vacation in Munich.

I called him immediatly and expressed my (obvious) whish: an M605 for nothing (ok, 99€).

The poor guy was close to a Kaufhof, entered at once but the clerk said - sorry, it's sold out. Argh. I logged on the net to found out - to my dismay - that the item is not available on the internet anymore (they say "Artikel Vergriffen").

Discouraged I called back my friend to deliver the sad news. He said nevermind, we are already heading on the suburbs where there is a different Kaufhof.

 

In the evening I received an SMS: "Mission Accomplished".

 

Today we met and I got the lovely thing. He told me that it was the last in the shop, possibly the last in the whole Munich! The clerk was talkative and my friend learnt a lot about fountain pens (he's not a user). The clerk even insisted in doing a filling/writing test on the pen.

 

Whoa, what a relief. I'm very happy.

Advice: if you want it, hurry up!
