Preivew of a new Henry Simpole Pen!

Hi,

I thought you all might be interested in a preview of the new Conway Stewart Simpole pen. Here is a picture of the pen in sterling silver, however it is available also in vermeil and solid gold. I am going to be sending out newsletters later today, but wanted to share with you this new design.

There is also an interview with Henry in the latest Stylus magazine. I am in the process of adding it to the website for those who did not get the chance to read the article. It is quite interesting and features other overlays that Henry Simpole has made.

Kind regards,

Mary Burke

Looks wonderful!

I have the CS Centenary in sterling silver, also by Henry Simpole, and it is absolutely mesmerising -- the most special pen I own. I am a sucker for silver overlay, and his work is the best there is in today's world. I hope Conway Stewart continues to commission him.

Hi Carrie,

I believe the pen is the same size as the Centenary Overlay. A prototype is on its way for photography and I will be able to confirm measurements and weight soon afterwards.

Kind regards,

Mary Burke

Very nice, indeed. Thanks to Kevin, this is the first time I've ordered a pen, without knowing its dimensions and weight. If I have to shovel snow for the rest of the winter to gain the arm strength to use this pen, then so be it. ;)

Talking about fountain pens is like dancing about architecture.

Here are the pen's vital statistics:

Length posted: 81/8"

Length capped: 61/4"

Length uncapped: 57/16"

Barrel length: 41/2"

Barrel diameter: 0.57" (section is 0.46" at the threads)

Weight: 1.63 oz (46.3 g)

The silver work is phenomenally beautiful.
